Your instructor

Lester

Lester is a guitarist and the luthier behind Lester Guitar Custom Shop in Angeles City. Every lesson is one-on-one with him, and songs are picked around the music you actually like.

Because he also sets up and repairs guitars, he'll make sure your instrument is easy to play. That matters most for beginners, since a hard-to-play guitar is a common reason people give up.

FAQ

Questions we get a lot.

Do I need my own guitar?

Yes, you'll need one to practice at home. Bring it to every lesson. If you don't have one yet, tell us in the assessment and we'll recommend options for your budget.

Can complete beginners join?

Absolutely. Level 1 assumes no experience at all.

How do you decide my level?

The student assessment asks about your experience and what you can already play. Most students get a level recommendation right away. If your answers are mixed, we'll check with you first, and sometimes listen to you play at the first session.

Can I enroll directly in Level 2?

Yes, if the assessment shows you're ready, for example you play full songs, use barre chords and read TAB.

How long does each level take?

Level 1 usually takes 3–6 months, Level 2 6–12 months, and Level 3 12 months or more, depending on practice time.

What happens if I miss a class?

Give at least 24 hours' notice and we'll reschedule. Late cancellations and no-shows are forfeited. See studio policies.

Are there age requirements?

Students should be 8 or older. A parent or guardian completes enrollment for anyone under 18.

Do you offer weekend classes?

Yes, Saturdays and Sundays from 9 AM to 6 PM.

Find your level in 2 minutes.

Answer a few questions about your playing. Most students can go straight on to enrollment.
