Studio & workshop policies

The fine print,
in plain words.

These apply to Guitar Lessons and the Guitar Academy. You agree to them when you enroll.

01Enrollment & scheduling

LessonsAcademy
By appointment only
All guitar lessons, bench sessions and luthiery modules happen in reserved time slots, so an instructor supervises you directly and you have full access to the bench and its tools.
Punctuality
Sessions start and end on time. If you arrive late, the session isn't extended.
Levels in order
Multi-level programs are taken in order. For example, Level 1 setup work comes before Level 2 fretwork and Level 3 building.

02Payments & deposits

LessonsAcademy
Guitar Lessons
Fees are paid before or on the first lesson of each billing cycle (per session, monthly, or full package).
Academy registration deposit
A 50% deposit on registration reserves your bench, schedule and course materials (bone blanks, fret wire, adhesives, sandpaper, tonewood). The balance is due midway through the level, or on day 1 if you pay in full.
Accepted payments
Cash, bank transfer (BDO, UnionBank), or e-wallet (GCash, Maya).
Refunds
Academy deposits pay for the materials prepared for you, so they can't be refunded once those materials are ready. For anything else, such as a change of plans before your first session, message us and we'll work it out with you.

03Cancellations, rescheduling & attendance

LessonsAcademy
24-hour notice
Ask to reschedule at least 24 hours before your session.
Late cancellations & no-shows
Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, and unexcused absences, are forfeited without refund or makeup.
If we reschedule
If we postpone because of shop maintenance or an instructor conflict, we'll arrange a makeup session at your earliest convenience.

04Workshop health & safety

Academy
Protective equipment
Safety glasses and suitable dust or vapor respirators are required for all power tool work, routing, soldering, radius sanding and spray finishing. Use ear protection around machinery.
Ventilation & materials
Follow shop guidelines on humidity control and on handling solvent finishes, CA glues and epoxies.
Footwear & attire
Closed-toe shoes at all times. Tie back loose clothing and long hair before using power tools or routers.

05Tools & instruments

Academy
Shop tools
You'll use commercial-grade luthier tools (digital calipers, notched straightedges, crowning files, radius blocks, strobe tuners). Clean them and return them to storage after each session. Damage caused by misuse or negligence may be charged.
Bring your own instrument
For Level 1 and 2 setup and repair modules, we encourage you to bring your own guitar to practice on under supervision.
Your instrument
The studio isn't responsible for existing structural damage or finish flaws on personal instruments brought in for practice.

06Photos & video

LessonsAcademy
Progress recordings
We record short checkpoint videos to share with students and parents.
Social media
We only post photos or clips of students who opt in on the enrollment form. You can withdraw permission at any time.

07Agreement

By enrolling, you confirm you've read, understood and agree to follow all shop policies, safety rules, tool responsibilities and payment terms above. For students under 18, a parent or guardian agrees on their behalf. This is captured as a typed signature on the enrollment form.
